UK ZOOM MEETING: PART THREE
From Tess Nowell:
We have a third UK based HI Zoom meeting coming up at 6pm UK time on Wed 17th February. At our last meeting in November, we agreed that we’d make this an opportunity to talk about invisible disability, particularly thinking of long-term fatigue or low energy levels, but also including other issues. The meeting will last 90 minutes, and Kat Stevenson and I look forward to hosting it.
We’re delighted that we will be joined for the first part of the meeting by Dr Rebecca Shakir, from the Oncology Dept at Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals. She has given very helpful advice on developing our Survivorship Care Plan, which we launched last month. She is involved in working on a similar but wider application plan as part of the NCRI (National Cancer Research Institute) Late Consequences Group, and she will tell us a little about that and also speak about invisible disability in HL survivors. There will be the chance to ask her questions as well.
As always, we welcome people from any part of the world to join this meeting, but please be aware that we will be discussing matters specifically as they are experienced within the UK and our National Health Service. This is bound to have some relevance and resonance with other countries and systems as well, of course.
You must register to receive the Zoom Link. Just go to “Join Our Email List” at the bottom of this page. See you on the 17th!
